Insight – Rest

An athlete in a racing competition reaches the finish line, runs past it and keeps running. πŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒ

The Surprised; “What?” “I thought the race was over.” “What is going on?”

The Confused; “What race is it again?” 100meters?, 200meters?” “400..” “What is happening. “Am I missing something?”

The Entertained( mostly young people);πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ “Can’t stop laughing.” “He’s such a clown.” “Maybe he’s training for the next round.” “That’s the work of overdose of something.” “His people should go carry him home.” “I guess the 200-meter race has dazed him, he’s probably spinning in another planet”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. “They shouldn’t stop him!” “Oh, this is sooo much fun!”

The ashamed tries in vain to stifle a chuckle.

The sympathetic; “Oh, no! he’s confused.” “Someone should go get him..stop him.” “Is he okay?” “Oh! he’s running even faster” “Something must be wrong somewhere” “He has probably lost it.”

The spectators know. They know the athlete should pick a spot close to the finish line, pant and calm down. The spectators also know that if something is not done to stop him, soon, he would collapse and it might be disastrous.

Do This

After a successful project or even a failed one, take some time to reward yourself.

Take a day or two, give yourself a pat on the back. Rest or do something completely different and relaxing.

This will help you freshen up and prepare you for another hectic project.

Have a nice fulfilling rest – a qualitative rest.

Don’t tell yourself that you’re lazying about while resting, for this will make you force yourself back to work. Just tell yourself that your body needs rest at that moment.
