The emblem of love
hung on the cross
the salvaging blood
flows from holy hollows
there lies the ransom
upon prisoners of guilt
the wandering spirits
the languishing souls
now hope upon the lamb
whose hands are spread
to renew every soul
On Good Friday, Christians all over the world commemorate the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. This is to refresh the memories of the faithful about what Jesus did for mankind.
Catholic faithful take this commemoration seriously – acting the passion of Jesus Christ from the Garden of Gethsemane to Golgotha where he was crucified.
Seeing the acted Passon Of Jesus has always brought tears to my eyes.
One may ask, if Jesus did this for the sake of the sins of mankind, why then is there still so much horrible crimes in the world?
He didn’t do this to end evil but to end it’s effect upon every soul that draws near to his merciful heart.
One may also ask, why is there so much sufferings and pain?
Well, I’ve thought this myself and the simple answer is that the world has been contaminated. The hurt that evil produces, directly and indirectly effects everyone in the world.
In spite of all these, God’s presence keeps us safe from the lasting impact of evil.
Do have a blessed Good Friday!
