Light In Darkness

From the belly of her darkness

She beholds the light,

Through a gigantic fight.

But as a speck of delight,

Leaps out of her guilt,

Her darkness drains the light.

She is left a withered might.

From the belly of her darkness,

Her eyes fasten from exhaustion.

But with guilty, weary passion,

She yearns further for the dawn.

Her emotion ignites her addiction,

Until she becomes her dawn,

Her darkness she will forever drown.

Back in 2013, my love for teaching young learners propelled me into picking teaching as a career. I taught English, Maths and Science in the United Arab Emirates where I lived for ten years. Right now, I live in Coal City, a beautiful hilly area of my country Nigeria.
